Aerial Lineman Program

Course description

Classroom and hands-on field experiences equip students with the knowledge, skills and
abilities employers seek when hiring an aerial lineman to install, maintain, and repair
telecommunications infrastructure, including:

Working knowledge of established aerial plant installation procedures and techniques
involving the placement of fiber, cable, poles, anchors, and all ancillary components
coupled with the ability to use required installation equipment. Adequate skills using the appropriate hand tools, equipment, and fleet required to build
successful aerial plants. The ability to read and understand prints/maps, safety rules, and operating instructions
